As the Leader, Strategy and Performance, you will be responsible for business planning, budget preparation, budget preparation, performance measurement and reporting, and leading internal efficiency reviews. Primary duties include:
- Develop and monitor annual and long-term business plans, actions, and budgets for Mobility under corporate direction.
- Support Mobility Management Team in developing the Mobility annual work plan with a focus on achieving the 4-year business plan and addressing key risks and issues.
- Represent Mobility in providing input to corporate projects and initiatives such as the development of the Service Portfolio Project and Service Plans & Budgets.
- Review and document current processes, analyze performance, and provide recommendations on service value improvements.
- Support the Director and managers in providing data analysis and operational visibility through the creation of dashboards and other progress tracking tools.
- Coordinate input from Mobility on Corporate Initiatives related to business planning and reporting, and performance measurement.
- Monitor and assess Mobility’s service strategies, systems, processes, and performance.
- Evaluate effectiveness, identify opportunities for process or service improvements, and implement adjustments required.
- Provide direction and assistance to team of professionals in their interactions with clients, interested parties, and other City staff.
- Gather and interpret data from different sources, analyze trends, and develop strategies to address issues, concerns, or underperformance. Recommend changes or strategies to implement changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Business, Finance, Strategic Planning, Public policy, or a related field with at least 8 years of progressive management experience in business and strategic planning, policy and process development, operational improvements, and supervisory experience.
- A Master’s degree in the field or relevant industry certification will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience with development and implementation of strategic business plans and initiatives, as well as project management and organizational change will be considered an asset.
- Experience with process analysis, performance and value measurement, project management, data analysis will be given preference.
- Experience with mentoring, coaching, and relationship management would be an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to facilitate planning sessions and present information to the business unit and departmental leadership teams.
- Ability to see the big picture and make connections between concepts, people, issues, and initiatives is required for success in this role.

Workstyle: This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.
