Salary: £48,894 - £52,491
Location: Hybrid working, requirement to work from Headquarters in Northallerton 2 days per week, we also have offices across York & Harrogate.

Responsibilities

SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

  • You will lead, direct and motivate a team of leadership and development specialists, responsible for developing a leadership offer with a suite of programmes that creates a career path from frontline colleagues through to senior and executive leadership levels.
  • Lead organisational development initiatives that support transformation, change management and cultural development as well as improving performance and engagement across the force.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of specific programmes to support aspiring leaders.
  • Lead talent development and succession planning initiatives to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders within policing.
  • Use data and insight to evaluate new and existing organisational leadership development interventions to understand impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to embed values-based leadership and behaviours across the organisation.
  • Foster innovation and learning through coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
  • Engage with key stakeholders from across policing and public services to strengthen leadership collaboration and cross-sector learning.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Significant relevant experience in leading a team of leadership and organisational development professionals to design and deliver developmental solutions and interventions which drive organisational performance.
  • Significant management and leadership development programme delivery experience and/or relevant qualification.
  • A passion for fostering collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement across all levels of the force.
  • You will be in tune with emerging practices in the learning and development profession to inform current and future workplace learning interventions.
  • Engaging and inspirational communicator with a natural coaching and consultative approach, gives you the ability to forge strong and influential relationships with a broad network of stakeholders, including those at a senior level.
