We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to oversee field maintenance operations on heavy mobile equipment at our Foxleigh project. This hands-on leadership role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, crew performance, and safety compliance.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Lead daily maintenance on Komatsu 830E, Liebherr T264, CAT 789C haul trucks, CAT D10/D11 dozers, CAT 16M/H graders, and CAT 6060, Hitachi EX3600 excavators.
• Diagnose and repair faults in hydraulics, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns and unscheduled repairs to minimise production impact.
• Supervise trades including fitters, auto electricians, and boilermakers across shifts.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and post-repair testing to ensure equipment readiness.
• Liaise with planning and production teams to align maintenance priorities.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting, Auto Electrical, or Fabrication.
• Proven experience in open-cut coal mining equipment maintenance.
• S1, S2, S3 modules or Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with QLD mining legislation and CMMS systems
