Position Summary The Leading Hand is a trade-qualified carpenter responsible for delivering townhouse construction projects. This role leads site teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Safety Identify, manage, and report hazards Ensure compliance with SWMS and safety standards Maintain safe, operational tools and equipment Project Delivery Execute work to high quality and company standards Meet project timelines and report issues daily Ensure defects are rectified within required timeframes Planning & Organisation Plan and communicate daily tasks to site teams Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite Prepare for and manage deliveries, verifying materials Leadership Supervise and support labourers and trades Ensure quality workmanship across all activities Address or escalate issues in line with company values Skills & Experience Certificate III in Carpentry Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Leading Hand role Residential construction experience (townhouses preferred) Current Driver’s Licence, White Card, and Skid Steer ticket Strong knowledge of plans, construction methods, and materials Key Competencies Strong leadership and team coordination Effective communication and stakeholder management Problem-solving and proactive decision-making High attention to detail and commitment to quality Systems On Site Companion | Sign on Site | Employment Hero | Microsoft 365 Values People | Quality | Integrity | Security We are committed to building a sustainable business through teamwork, high standards, and doing the right thing.
