Fabricates according to daily production requirements. Communicates and instructs entry level glass employees in various phases. Follows specific directions from Glass department supervisor and see that these directions are carried out. Make sure area is kept organized and 5S procedures and policies are followed. Substitute for Glass department supervisor in event of absence. Audit completed product to assure it meets order requirements and YKK quality standards. Communicate non-conforming product issue to Glass department personnel. Analyze and resolve work problems or assists worker in solving work problems. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Set up machines and equipment. Perform activities of workers in department. Keep work area neat and clean. Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes Physical Requirements Job requires constant lifting in excess of 50 pounds Must be able to stand for a minimum ten (10) hour period of time Job requires stooping, bending and kneeling Qualifications and Skill Requirements High School diploma/GED (minimum) Must have at least three years of manufacturing experience preferably in a fabrication or production environment with at least 6 months in a leadership role Good math skills Be vigilant about safety Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence At YKK AP America Inc., pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determine within a range. The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $19.82 - $22.84, depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
