This role requires the incumbent to use a comprehensive suite of on-line computational pipeline monitoring systems to assess whether a potential leak has occurred in real-time. The Leak Detection Analyst (LDA) is accountable for providing alarm response, analysis, interpretation, communication, documentation and resolution for all operational Leak Detection Systems (LDS) within the scope of the Leak Detection department. Responsibilities
  • Utilize engineering knowledge in addition to well-defined processes and procedures to provide primary response and leak detection analysis to Control Centre Operations for the Leak Detection Systems (LDS).
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of real-time transient hydraulic and statistical leak detection models and Leak Detection procedures.
  • Expand proficiency in applied engineering programming and process analysis, as well as in review and analysis of SCADA data inputs to LDS, P&IDs, flow diagrams and trending tools.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the LD Systems through comprehensive investigation and detailed deficiency reporting.
  • Provides 24x7 on-shift support to the Control Centre in Leak Detection System alarm response, analysis, interpretation, and communication of analysis results.
