Description
The Lean Coordinator position will be located in Perth, Ontario, Canada. Responsible for supporting all departments to achieve their goals regarding cost savings. Participate in activities to improve Manufacturing/Business processes in management, the front office, and on the shop floor employees. Lead and facilitate ELSS Value Steam Mapping (VSM), 5S+ and Standard Work events, structured problem-solving events, Kaizen Events/RIEs/BPIs, leveraging other Lean tools as needed. Champion the Find-It Fix-It process including support of all areas in the plant in capturing improvements and monitoring progress. Mentor other employees in the identification and elimination of waste, including training. Serve as Lean Tool Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provide expertise and support to other areas in the Lean tools. Support the deployment of corporate driven ELSS initiatives, including PBA. Lead activities to achieve a reduction in the elements of Cost of Non-Conformance - warranty, scrap, rework, reactive maintenance, premium freight and excess & obsolete inventory. Closely work with LDP employees during their term to support them in achieving the goals and expectations when applicable. College diploma or university degree from an accredited institution. Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools. Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology. Experience in a fabrication/assembly environment (5 years). Strong interpersonal and planning skills with proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities. Experience with Six Sigma. Experience with project management.
