About BYD Auto Hungary On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base. BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Lean engineer to our Auto Parts Division. Key Responsibilities: Allocate personnel, equipment, and other production resources in a reasonable manner in accordance with company and divisional production plans, with the aim of reducing production costs, improving labor productivity, and ensuring smooth production operations. Evaluate production capacity based on monthly production forecasts, identify and mitigate potential risks, develop and implement capacity improvement plans and countermeasures, and ensure their timely execution. Identify and develop more efficient production methods within existing technological conditions, eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and promote continuous improvement on the production floor. Establish and maintain standard labor times for all products in the plant, analyze labor efficiency, and drive continuous efficiency improvements through various methods. Be responsible for overall plant layout planning and logistics flow design, and organize necessary production line adjustments to ensure compliance with lean manufacturing principles. Lead and implement the plant-wide continuous improvement and suggestion program, foster a culture of full employee participation, and ensure continuous and effective improvement activities. Complete other tasks assigned by management in a timely manner. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required: At least 3 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry. Solid knowledge of production planning and operations management, quality management, industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, and related fields. Familiar with production floor management, 5S, and the seven wastes; able to plan production lines and allocate production personnel effectively based on production characteristics. Familiar with the principles, manufacturing processes, and operating procedures of the products produced in the plant. Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills; clear logical thinking, strong execution ability, high sense of responsibility, and a conscientious working attitude. Proficient in CAD, MS Office, and other relevant supporting tools. Fluent in English and Hungarian; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
