Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and continuous improvement? Do you thrive on coaching teams, solving complex problems, and embedding standard methodologies? AstraZeneca is looking for a Lean Facilitator to join our Operations team at our Macclesfield site.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lean Facilitator, you’ll become a key member of the Site Lean Network at AstraZeneca. You will be instrumental in embedding a Lean culture across our UK Operations, leading initiatives that deliver tangible improvements through the AstraZeneca Supply System (AZSS). Using your expertise in Lean methodologies, you’ll coach teams, mentor leaders, and deliver innovative solutions that make a measurable impact on our manufacturing processes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will work closely with process and leadership teams to:

  • Coach operations teams in Lean practices and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Design and deliver training on Lean principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Mentor, coach, and build team capability to achieve sustainable process improvements.
  • Lead and support Kaizen events and workshops, driving rapid improvement and engaging cross-functional teams.
  • Provide problem-solving expertise to overcome operational challenges.
  • Align Lean initiatives with business strategies and champion standard methodologies across the site.
  • Lead local portfolio projects, from prioritizing to completion, and track progress.
  • Assess internal and external trends to see opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership, influencing strategic decisions and outcomes.
