Job Description The Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting the Bosch Production System. The coordinator will drive continuous improvement activities, provide training, coach employees and lead projects to achieve established production, quality, and logistics goals. Responsibilities: Strategy and implementation: Develop and drive a BPS implementation strategy for specific departments, supporting the plant's overall continuous improvement (CIP) roadmap. Training and coaching: Conduct training sessions on BPS methodology, problem-solving, and lean tools for operators, team leaders, and supervisors. Act as a coach and expert for all employees, helping them apply BPS principles in their daily work. Project leadership: Lead and facilitate "speed week" or Kaizen events and other improvement projects to support value stream targets. Use lean tools like Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kanban, and Standardized Work to redesign processes and eliminate waste. Performance monitoring and assessment: Periodically review and assess the plant's BPS maturity level and develop action plans for improvement. Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress toward continuous improvement goals using dashboards. Documentation and compliance: Develop and maintain BPS documentation in line with the Quality Management System. Prepare for internal and external BPS assessments and audits and ensure compliance with Bosch standards. Technology and logistics: Drive and guide Industry 4.0 initiatives to leverage modern technology for process improvement. Support the long-term strategic physical logistics concept and optimize material flow systems. Qualifications Qualifications: 1+ years in BPS, lean manufacturing and/or industrial engineering with a manufacturing environment, industrial engineering degree (B.S.) 1+ years of lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience with the ability to analyze issues, develop actions plans and apply problem solving techniques such as 5 whys. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presentations, training, and inter-department collaboration. Experience managing projects, supervising teams, prioritizing tasks, and ability to work independently Preferred Six Sigma Green Belt, knowledge of automotive industry standards, knowledge of manufacturing quality systems. Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, such as Value Stream Mapping (flow of materials and information), 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Standardized Work, and Quick Changeover (SMED). Experience with problem-solving methodologies like Six Sigma, Shainin, or 8D. Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Power BI. Documentation of standardized work charts, work sequencing, cycle time studies and standard in-process stock. Soft Skills: Strong project leadership skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams with self-initiative. Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills to train and motivate employees at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
