Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with 3 locations in Arnprior and Renfrew. The St Joseph’s location is based out of St Joseph’s Catholic School on John Street N. We offer Kindergarten and School Aged Programs.
We require 3 Contract Teacher Assistants (one for the Kinder Program and one for each of the School Age Programs) beginning June 16th to August 29th and approx. 30-40 hours per week, working 6 hours a day in June and 8 hours a day in July/August.
The rate of pay is $19.34 per hour plus 4% holiday pay. These hours have the ability to qualify for $2.00/hour WEG (Wage Enhancement Grant) as well.
This posting is for an already existing position which has opened up and it requires:
Requirements: • Experience with young children • Current Standard First Aid / CPR C • Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector • Proof of up to date immunizations and ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating good health • WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates (we can help a successful candidate secure these certificates)
Recommended: • Knowledge of CCEYA and HDLH Considered an Asset: • Experience with children in a licensed childcare centre • Experience with children with special needs • Child centred educational background (RECE, DSW, etc)
