Learn to Swim Lead | Albany Stadium Pool   Help us get "More Aucklanders more active, more often” Great development pathway and multiple opportunities within Auckland Council Fantastic benefits including free use of the facility   He angitūtanga: The opportunity As the Lead Learn to Swim, you’ll be playing a key part in ensuring a great customer experience for our customers when participating in our Learn to Swim programme and ensuring the development and delivery of programmes and services are maintained at an exceptional standard.  In this position, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to a variety of age groups and assisting the Team Leader Learn to Swim with rostering and lesson delivery. The ideal candidate should be comfortable teaching a wide range of learners, from toddlers and preschoolers to school-age students, and able to adapt teaching methods to suit each developmental stage, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all participants.   You’ll also support the day-to-day operational running of the Learn to Swim programme and provide great customer service and problem resolution for our customers. This is a 20-hour permanent part-time position, and we are aiming for a start date of Monday 19th January 2026.   Wednesday (11am - 7.30pm) Thursday (11am - 7.30pm) Saturday (8.15am - 2pm)   Please note that attendance at training sessions at West wave will be required: 6th – 10th April and 13th – 17th April 2026 (8am – 4pm)   He kōrero mōu: About you   You’ll have a passion for motivating both your team members and our customers to enjoy and gain confidence in swimming. You’ll be committed to making the experience of working in and visiting our pools a great one for everyone involved. Previous experience in team supervision or leadership is also highly desirable.    You should also hold a recognised swim teacher qualification (AUSTSWIM), a First Aid certificate, and experience in delivering lessons across a range of ages and abilities.
