Are you passionate about helping children learn to swim and gain water confidence in a fun, structured, and supportive environment? We’re looking for enthusiastic and nurturing swim instructors to join our growing team at Jump Swim School Geelong West.
About the Role:

As a swim teacher, you’ll deliver engaging lessons based on our structured curriculum — from babies in Duckling classes to confident swimmers in Marlin. You’ll teach small group lessons with a maximum of 3–6 students per class (depending on the level), focusing on:

• Water familiarisation and safety
• Breath control and submersion
• Independent mobility and floating
• Stroke development (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, dolphin)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons according to structured plans provided (e.g., Tadpole, Goldfish, Frog, Stingray, Marlin levels)
• Encourage participation through songs and interactive activities (especially in parent/child classes)
• Track and support each child’s progress
• Set up and pack down equipment (kickboards, noodles, sinky toys, mats)
• Communicate with parents professionally and warmly
• Maintain a safe and positive environment at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Friendly and energetic personality
• Strong swimmer with ability to demonstrate strokes and techniques
• Comfortable teaching all age groups from babies to early school-age children
• Reliable, punctual, and a great communicator
• Willingness to work on weekends or after school

Requirements:

• Current AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher Certification (or willing to get it it)
• Current CPR Certificate (First Aid and WWCC preferred)(or willing to get it it)
• Previous teaching experience preferred, but not essential – training provided for the right candidates

Job Types: Casual, Contract
Pay: $31.00 – $35.00 per hour
