We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learn to Swim Teacher to deliver high-quality swimming instruction to individuals of all ages and abilities. The ideal candidate will create a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment that promotes water safety, skill progression, and a lifelong love for swimming.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Recognized Learn to Swim Instructor qualification (e.g., Austswim, SCTA or Royal Life Saving)
  • Current CPR
  • Experience teaching swimming to a range of age groups and abilities (preferred but not essential).
  • Working with Children Check
  • Knowledge of water safety and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging swim lessons for children, youth, and/or adults in accordance with recognized swim programs (e.g., Austswim, SCTA or Royal Life Saving).
  • Assess participants’ abilities and tailor lessons to ensure progressive skill development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by enforcing pool rules and responding effectively to emergencies.
  • Provide positive, encouraging feedback and communicate progress to participants and/or parents.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and progression.
  • Set up and pack down equipment for lessons as required.
  • Promote water safety awareness and encourage good swimming habits.
  • Work collaboratively with other instructors, lifeguards, and management staff.
