JOB DESCRIPTION

The role:

  • First point of contact for all learning and development queries
  • Managing the learning and development inbox
  • Using the Acas learning management system to set-up and administer learning events and programmes
  • Managing the learning calendar of events
  • Supporting learning events and programmes; including sending out joining instructions, managing attendance lists and evaluating events
  • Booking individuals on external courses and events
  • Monitoring delegate lists for internal and external programmes
  • Supporting budget management; including updating finance spreadsheets, raising purchase requests, monitoring purchase orders and arranging for payment of invoices
  • Liaising with external suppliers
  • Maintaining records for individuals and the organisation for internal and external learning
  • Providing reports on learning activity across the organisation
  • Supporting the induction of new starters
  • Providing support as and when required for members of the learning and development team and the wider People Directorate

THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to provide a customer focused learning and development service to Acas and to support staff with their learning and development needs. They will be a key member of the team and support the delivery of learning activity and key projects across the business. They will provide an effective, accurate and comprehensive day-to-day administration service, helping to ensure that we provide a high-quality service to customers.
This is an ideal first job in learning and development or human resources.
