Description

Build capability, modernise learning and give people the skills to perform.

Carlisle Homes is an Australian owned major home builder, ranked No. 18 among Australia’s Best Workplaces™ 2026 list. Its industry recognition includes HIA Victorian Professional Major Builder, HIA Australian Professional Major Builder, and three consecutive Master Builders Australia National Business Excellence Awards.

Reporting to the GM People & Culture, you’ll turn Carlisle’s learning strategy into practical programs that strengthen leadership, improve performance and support career development. You’ll lead a Digital Learning Designer and work closely with senior leaders and HR Business Partners.

The role

You’ll own the learning calendar and delivery, combining hands on facilitation with digital learning and team leadership.

Your priorities will include:

  • Identify capability gaps and deliver learning that addresses business needs.
  • Design and facilitate practical, inclusive programs for employees and leaders.
  • Lead induction and improve the new starter experience.
  • Introduce digital tools and blended learning methods that increase participation and learning adoption.
  • Select and manage external training providers.
  • Partner on internal conferences and major learning events.
  • Support budget planning and track delivery, costs and results.
  • Maintain accurate training records and compliance reporting through HRIS, the LMS and other platforms.
  • Coach and develop the Digital Learning Designer.

Success means delivering an annual learning plan, introducing meaningful improvements and demonstrating results through participant feedback, learning adoption and business impact.

What you’ll bring

  • At least five years experience in Learning & Development or Organisational Development.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver learning across in person, digital and blended formats.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills across different organisational levels.
  • Experience implementing or improving learning management systems and digital tools.
  • The confidence to advise senior leaders and challenge training requests to identify the underlying need.
  • Evidence of improving learning adoption, capability or workplace behaviours.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail and an understanding of training compliance.
