WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Adult Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years managing a team is required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the disability services/ non-profit sector.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training effectiveness and organizational needs.
  • Proficient in using technology and applicable software programs (e.g., MS Office Suite, LMS, etc.)
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
  • Represent Vecova in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
Responsibilities
  • Analyze data and trends to develop strategies that enhance internal capacity and organizational impact, then implement these solutions.
  • Facilitate regular reviews with internal or external trainers to discuss successes and areas for improvement, strengthening training interconnectivity.
  • Identify, draft, or revise policies to address learning and development needs.
  • Source vendors or providers for specialized business and leadership training to support skill development and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with mid-and-senior leaders and stakeholders for information sharing and alignment.
  • Manage the budget, track expenditures, prioritize needs, and adhere to fiscal guidelines.
  • Ensure team members are well-informed and knowledgeable about activities and needs affecting their work or the organization.
  • Maintain required documentation and records for the position
  • Manage and supervise the learning and development team; and other duties as required
