ROLE OVERVIEW

The key aim of this role is to partner with stakeholders across the organisation in aligning employee skills and development with strategic goals of the organisation.
Delivering through a best practice approach from identifying, designing and implementing a range of innovative interventions, facilitating learning through to evaluation of business impact.
The role will foster cultural change, deliver blended learning solutions through a fit for purpose digital learning portfolio and align learning and development as a driver of business performance and talent growth.
The role will focus on creating a great employee experience whilst enhancing our portfolio in a range of themes such as leadership and management development, early careers, broad career development, EDI, personal and team effectiveness.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Operate as a credible and trusted business partner to stakeholders across the organisation in an engaging and collaborative style by providing expert consultation, advice and coaching to achieve results.
  • Design, develop and deliver learning interventions, plans and programmes and evaluate performance impact to support the business in the successful implementation of key business projects or initiatives as aligned to workforce plans and requirements.
  • Leverage technology to further develop the digital learning portfolio of toolkits, resources and eLearning by supporting the design, development, implementation and evaluation of high-quality eLearning and blended training solutions.
  • Work with the business to design, develop and deliver qualifications and accredited learning by working with external professional bodies, internal stakeholders and training suppliers.
  • Lead on a range of early career programmes including apprenticeships, graduate programme and work experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement in learning and development practices, processes and policies across the organisation and further develop the portfolio as an innovative, best practice, fit for purpose resource that supports all colleagues in achieving their full potential.
  • Act as a catalyst, key driver, and leader for cultural change through Learning and Development by proactively identifying barriers and obstacles, working to remove them to change the culture of the organisation whilst working in partnership with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Use professional insight to identify learning and development related opportunities, priorities, and potential risks with managers.
  • Administer, coordinate, facilitate and deliver learning and development initiatives as required by the business.
  • Analyse and present Learning & Development related KPI’s and produce proposals, reports, and plans for various stakeholders and management teams whilst adapting the style and content as appropriate and relevant to the purpose and end user.
  • Build relationships, liaise, and positively engage with external stakeholders (e.g., Skills Development Scotland, DYW (Developing the Young Workforce), sector organisations, training providers, professional bodies, etc.) based upon business requirements
  • Work with external training suppliers through procurement processes through to ongoing supplier relationship management.
