Company: Mercer Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Change team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Learning and Development Specialist The role of the Learning & Development Specialist is to design and execute learning development strategies (using agile and waterfall delivery approaches) for Mercer’s project delivery function to further the organisation’s objectives and align with its corporate vision. This role is an integral part of the Change Management and Learning & Development function. It will contribute to ensuring that the change management approach and outcomes that the function delivers meets the needs of the organisation (as it transitions to using agile as a delivery approach) and reflects industry best practice. To be successful in this role we require someone that has experience within the Superannuation industry 12-month contract initially We will count on you to: Work with Project team and sponsors to develop and execute learning development strategies for projects (including those run in an agile way) requiring learning and development expertise. Delivery of learning and role readiness through the blended use of Instructor led facilitation, e-learning, video training, case studies and group discussion methods Facilitate the provision of learning and development if required to upskill Agile, Innovative and empathetic adaptation of programs to align with current environments / working conditions Track adoption and implement appropriate action to achieve project outcomes Provide reporting on progress to relevant stakeholder forums Identification of learning requirements for impacted colleagues/teams and assessment of appropriate learning methods Collaborating with program delivery and other internal stakeholders to deliver impactful and agile programs related to Pacific Change Program Contribute to the development of other learning programs as required The need to think beyond one-off interventions and help establish a repeatable learning cadence, particularly in a remediation environment where learning needs to be sustained and embedded. Work with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts across all parts of the business, including the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and steward outcomes from behind the scenes. Designing learning for business audiences, varied stakeholder groups and capability uplift over time What you need to have: 5-10 years’ experience in a Learning & Development role Experience within the Superannuation industry Knowledge and experience in digital learning systems such as Articulate Demonstrable skills in Learning & Development Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously, while maintaining a high standard of quality and detail Ability to take dry, complex, technical or remediation-related content and translate it into learning that is simple, engaging, usable and memorable Storytelling capability Experience with PowerPoint with the ability to create polished decks quickly, work within brand, and develop strong speaker notes and supporting materials Experience in delivering learning methods in agile environments Strong verbal, written and presentation skills Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills Ability to facilitate discussion and drive outcomes with stakeholders Strong organisation skills Familiarity with a broad range of learning delivery solutions and adult learning principles Strong work ethic, proactive and have ability to succeed in environment of ambiguity Experience in managing sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner Why join our team: We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.
