Paradigm is seeking a full-time Learning and Development Specialist. This position holds accountability for supporting the on-boarding, development and implementation of educational programs that support new team members across the organization. The Learning and Development Specialist collaborates with subject matter experts, IT business analysts, department-level training leads, and direct supervisors /managers to conduct discovery needs sessions, formulate plans, and develop educational programs and learning content that support operational success and business goals.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution preferred; applicable learning and development experience may substitute for this requirement.
  • Prior experience with technical or systems education is required.
  • Language Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to simplify complex material for learning and development, utilize negotiation/conflict resolution skills to resolve issues, and provide creative solutions and ideas.
  • Computer Literacy - Advanced computer skills including working knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams; Articulate instructional design platforms, and familiarity with learning management systems, as well as other tools/programs utilized for distance learning and webinar presentations.
  • Willing and able to learn new technical skills as necessary.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to learn new processes quickly. Ability to analyze workflow and make recommendations for changing processes (e.g., simplifying) as appropriate.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work are essential.
  • Work is generally independent and virtually collaborative in nature.
  • Able to travel as needed (< 25%).

Responsibilities
  • Develop education programs and learning content that uses the appropriate methods of delivery to accommodate learning styles and the learning environment.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders to understand training needs, develop appropriate content, and recommend approaches to meet intended learning outcomes for a variety of audiences within Paradigm.
  • Act as a point-of-contact between the trainee, department-level training lead, and or trainee supervisor /manager.
  • Maintain all training documentation, knowledge assessments, and trainee schedules for assigned educational programs and onboarding sessions.
  • In coordination with department-level training lead, and or trainee supervisor /manager, develop individualized training plans and timelines for assigned trainee.
  • Provide support to both the trainee and others involved in department-level training activities on a to monitor trainee progress, and make recommendations for meeting deadlines/productivity expectations, as needed.
  • Provide expertise in designing effective blended, asynchronous, and instructor-led learning programs to support organizational learning and development needs.
  • Effectively utilize a variety of instructional tools and technology in developing high-quality, and engaging learning materials.
  • Apply adult learning theories into practical, application-based learning strategy.
  • Create strong alignment between program competencies, course-level objectives, assessments, and learning activities to improve learner outcomes.
  • Incorporate feedback and evaluation results related to job performance to modify future programs to better meet learning goals for training programs.
  • Support the delivery of new hire onboarding / orientation and other learning programs through online and instructor-led classrooms, and individual coaching.
  • Lead or assist in training for technical systems rollouts, and enhancements to ensure consistent adoption of clinical application systems.
  • Use a training environment to train learners on system applications and processes.
  • Maintain existing courses / instructional materials in the learning management system (LMS) on a maintenance schedule and work with content owners to ensure up to date and continued relevance.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues with user access, online course functionality, and other miscellaneous issues within the LMS as reported by users.
  • Prioritize and manage course development activities and deliverables for multiple projects to ensure on-time delivery of course content.
  • Work independently and lead projects to produce quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Regularly participate in meetings, requiring close interactions with various project stakeholders to develop advanced level knowledge in organizational processes, and applications.
