Description
TownSq is seeking a dynamic and skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our company. This role will focus on designing, curating, and delivering innovative training programs to meet the needs of both our external clients and internal employees. As a key contributor to our organization’s growth and success, the Learning and Development Specialist will leverage expertise in adult learning principles to ensure product competency, industry knowledge, and organizational alignment. This individual will be responsible for creating and facilitating onboarding programs, developing and curating curriculum for diverse training needs, managing subject matter experts, and assessing the effectiveness of learning programs to ensure continuous improvement. With a portfolio of multiple, complex products that interface with one another, this role requires a deep understanding of our product ecosystem and the ability to design and deliver tailored training programs that cater to different audiences, ensuring both internal employees and external clients gain product proficiency.  This position is onsite 5 days a week at our Richardson, Texas location.   Curriculum Design and Development * Design, develop, and curate training programs and materials using adult learning principles to support product adoption and utilization. * Create and maintain product-specific training content for external clients, including user guides, e-learning modules, webinars, and hands-on workshops. * Develop internal training programs to enhance employees’ product knowledge, contextual understanding of product utilization, and industry expertise. Learning Facilitation * Facilitate onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring their swift integration into the organization and alignment with company goals. * Conduct live training sessions, both virtual and in-person, for clients and employees to ensure effective knowledge and/or skill transfer. * Leverage a variety of learning modalities, such as instructor-led training, e-learning, blended learning, and microlearning, to engage diverse audiences. Knowledge Base Development * Develop, maintain, and optimize the organization’s knowledge base to ensure that learning resources are easily accessible, up-to-date, and relevant. * Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture and document critical product knowledge and industry insights. Program Evaluation and Improvement * Assess learning effectiveness through feedback surveys, performance metrics, and other evaluation methods. * Continuously improve learning programs based on feedback, data analysis, and emerging industry trends. * Monitor learning outcomes and report on training effectiveness to key stakeholders. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management * Partner with cross-functional teams, including product management, customer success, and HR, to identify learning needs and develop targeted training solutions. * Manage relationships with subject matter experts to ensure accurate, high-quality content and training delivery. * Stay informed about industry developments and trends to ensure training programs remain relevant and impactful.   Skills & Competencies * Strong understanding of SaaS product ecosystems and the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly content. * Expertise in adult learning theories, instructional design, and facilitation techniques. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. * Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * Analytical mindset with the ability to measure learning outcomes and implement improvements. * High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Qualifications Preferred: * Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or a related field. * Experience designing training programs for both internal and external audiences is highly desirable. * Experience working in a SaaS or technology-driven company. Required: * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or training facilitation, preferably in a SaaS environment. * 25% anticipated travel * Travel may be required for in-person training sessions or company events.
