We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Norfolk Initial Training and CPD team as a Staff Initial Trainer and CPD Officer.

Responsibilities

To design, deliver and implement a range of creative and innovative operational learning initiatives, specifically for Police Officer and Staff colleagues, to improve the capability of the workforce and their ability to meet strategic goals and service plans, and to respond to organisational change.

Main activities of the role (This list is not exhaustive)

  • Design, facilitate and deliver innovative, inclusive, inspirational training, utilising the 70/20/10 training delivery model aligned to organisational strategy, to ensure an increase in operational performance and capability in Professional Policing.
  • Contribute to the Constabulary’s defined programmes of Student Officer, Detective, Police Officer and Police Staff and intakes to ensure that they meet organisational needs and objectives through coaching, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Contribute to a programme of refresher training interventions for existing officers to equip them with the skills, knowledge and aptitudes to meet the needs of the organisation, as well as current legal and statutory guidelines.
  • Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as may be requested by management.
