Description

What you’ll do:

  • Provide high-level advice and guidance to the Associate Heads of Learning and Teaching in relation to University compliance, policies, quality assurance and process improvement.
  • Coordinate and oversee learning and teaching cycle activities, including major course reviews, course and unit monitoring cycles, attrition reporting, internal review processes and external accreditation activities.
  • Review, coordinate and undertake administrative processes relating to academic quality assurance in learning and teaching to support compliance with University requirements.
  • Provide executive and committee support to the Associate Heads of Learning and Teaching, including coordination of relevant L&T committees, curriculum governance matters and associated records and reports.
  • Use student, curriculum, results, reporting and records management systems to analyse course and unit data and prepare correspondence, reports, briefings and communications.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and support to other learning and teaching professional staff, including sharing expertise and promoting consistent practice.

What we’re looking for:

  • A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification with subsequent relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in tertiary education quality assurance, including course and unit review processes, and working with higher education provider rules, ordinances, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support activities that enhance the quality of learning and teaching in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across academic and professional teams.
  • Extensive administrative experience in a University environment, or equivalent experience in a complex organisation with comparable governance and operational structures.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently within established guidelines, exercising discretion, confidentiality and sound judgment.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130,943 comprising base salary within the range of $101,821 to $111,917 plus 17% superannuation.
