QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Detail-oriented with an interest in organizing, formatting, and proofreading content
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with graphic or authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator etc) is a plus
· Willingness to learn new tools, concepts, and technologies—especially related to building systems or technical training
· Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with guidance
· Curious and personable
WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE?
We are seeking a motivated and curious intern to support our Learning, Instructional Design team in creating engaging and effective training materials for our employees and partners in the building automation industry. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in learning experience design, training, or technology-driven education to gain real-world exposure to instructional design practices within a high-tech environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
· Assist instructional designers with the development of digital and instructor-led learning materials for Distech Controls products and solutions.
· Conduct light research on technical topics (e.g., HVAC systems, Instrumentation and controls, BMS software) to support course content creation
· Help test eLearning modules and provide feedback on user experience and content clarity
· Organize and maintain learning content within internal systems
· Support quality assurance reviews of learning assets for accuracy, formatting, and alignment to brand standards
· Attend team meetings, capture notes, and contribute ideas for improving learning content and experiences
· Collaborate with cross-functional team members including subject matter experts (SMEs), facilitators, and technical writers
· Challenge the status quo.
