The Learning & Development (L&D) and HR Information Systems (HRIS) Support Officer will play a key operational and technical support role in the Learning & Development activities of LIH, working in close collaboration with the L&D Officer and the whole HR team. In addition to coordinating day-to-day training logistics and supporting employee development initiatives, the role will be responsible for the technical configuration, development, and optimization of HR processes in the HRIS system (Mpleo by HRWeb – Septeo).
This hybrid role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong interest in learning and development and a proven ability to work with HR software and digital tools. The role requires a collaborative, structured, and tech-savvy mindset.
The initial contract duration is two years. There may be potential for a longer-term opportunity, subject to organizational needs and individual performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operational Support in Learning & Development
- Coordinate the logistical and administrative aspects of LIH’s training programs and onboarding activities.
- Support the implementation and follow-up of the annual Training Master Plan.
- Ensure accurate tracking of training participation, purchase orders, invoices, certifications, and training-related documentation.
- Liaise with training providers for scheduling, registration, documentation, and feedback collection.
- Assist in the creation and update of training materials, e-learning content, and employee guides.
- Maintain up-to-date data and records for training indicators and dashboards.
- Act as point of contact for employee queries related to L&D activities and onboarding.
HRIS System (Mpleo) Support
- Act as first-line support for the HR team on Mpleo developments, workflows, and module usage, especially the training module, but also the talent and recruitment modules.
- Support the design and configuration of new forms, surveys, reports and process workflows in collaboration with the HRWeb support team.
- Contribute to testing, documentation, and training of end users (employees and HR colleagues) on HRIS features.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with external providers for escalations.
- Ensure data integrity, GDPR and data retention compliance, run periodic data checks, and support HR KPIs and reporting needs using HRIS exports.
- Support the broader use of AI-driven functionalities within HR processes (e.g. automation of standard replies, data analysis, AI-assisted survey analysis, chatbot prototypes), in collaboration with the HRIS provider and internal stakeholders
HR Support
- Collaborate closely with all HR team members to support digitalisation of HR processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to transversal HR projects related to performance management, employee engagement, mobility, or well-being.
- Act as a resource person during audit preparations or institutional reporting when HRIS data is involved.
- Provide occasional support for internship tracking, welcome sessions, and seasonal HR administration.
KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Human resources, Business Administration, Education and learning technologies.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar HR support or L&D support role.
- Prior experience with HRIS systems, ideally Mpleo or comparable platforms (eg Talentsoft, Workday, SAP Success factors).
- Experience in coordinating or supporting training programs is a strong asset.
- Comfortable working in a digital environment with HR tools and platforms.
- Ability to configure forms, workflows, and surveys in an HRIS (training can be provided).
- High attention to detail, ability to manage data accurately and securely.
- Good command of MS Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Client-oriented and proactive with internal stakeholders.
- Clear and effective communication, both oral and written.
- Curious and willing to learn about HR topics and digital tools.
- Team player, able to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in French and English is required. Knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish is considered an asset.
