Requirements Instructional Design & Content Development Design and develop engaging training programs across multiple modalities, including: eLearning (Articulate Storyline or similar tools) Instructor-Led Training (ILT) Video-based learning and microlearning content Job aids, guides, handbooks, and operational manuals Create visually compelling learning materials using tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite Script, storyboard, and produce training videos to support operational procedures and learning initiatives Edit video content (cutting, captions, voiceover sync, basic motion graphics) for use in eLearning, LMS platforms, and training workshops Translate complex operational processes into clear, concise, and actionable training content Maintain consistency in brand voice and operational standards across all materials Training Delivery & Facilitation Facilitate in-person and/or virtual training sessions (preferred/bonus) Support the rollout of new initiatives, tools, and operational procedures through effective training strategies Partner with field leaders to ensure training is practical, scalable, and impactful Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with SMEs, Operations, and cross-functional partners to gather insights and validate content Build strong relationships with the Operating Company and Franchisee stakeholders Actively incorporate feedback into iterative design cycles to continuously improve training effectiveness Field Engagement & Continuous Improvement Travel to restaurant locations to observe operations, assess training needs, and capture real-world content (including video footage where applicable) up to 15% Identify gaps in training and recommend improvements based on field insights Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust content based on performance data and feedback Qualifications Required: 2–5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Instructional Design Experience developing eLearning using tools such as Articulate Storyline (or similar) Experience creating and editing training videos (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Camtasia, or similar tools) Strong visual design skills with tools like Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite Experience creating printed materials such as job aids, manuals, and guides Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and stakeholders Highly open to feedback, with a growth mindset and comfort in iterative feedback loops Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (Monday.com) Willingness to travel to restaurant locations as needed Preferred: Experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments Experience facilitating in-person training sessions Familiarity with franchise business models Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) Basic experience with video shooting (lighting, framing, audio capture) What We’re Looking For A creative problem-solver who can turn operational complexity into simple, effective learning A collaborative partner who thrives on feedback and continuous improvement A self-starter who takes ownership of projects from concept through delivery Someone who is equally comfortable designing training, editing video, and being in the field observing operations Long John Silver's is an Equal Opportunity Employer
