EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as an L&D Specialist with strong knowledge of learning and development methods and tools, including e-learning platforms.
  • Manufacturing or Engineering experience.
  • Experience in rolling out L&D strategies.
  • Proficiency in competency frameworks, leadership development and succession planning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Ferguson Marine have an opportunity for an L&D Manager on a fixed-term contract (12-18 months) to help shape the future of the workforce.
As the L&D Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing learning strategies that align with the company’s next phase of growth.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will support technical and developmental training, manage budgets, and ensure that our training efforts are effective and impactful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Redesign and review performance review process for both staff and industrial employees.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify technical training needs and source suitable training providers.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure comprehensive role profiles are in place for performance measurement.
  • Support career development through a robust succession planning process.
  • Manage their online learning provision, ensuring that modules are relevant and effective for all roles.
  • Establish a competency framework aligned with accredited professional bodies.
  • Work with the Apprenticeship Manager to manage and develop future talent.
