  • Initial Contract: ASAP Start to 23rd of February 2027 + likely ongoing contract

About the Role

An opportunity is available for an experienced and organised Learning and Development Officer to support the delivery of learning and development initiatives within a busy government environment.

This role will contribute to the successful coordination, administration and continuous improvement of learning and development programs that support employee capability and professional growth. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will provide administrative, research, reporting, and stakeholder support to ensure programs are delivered efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct desktop research to support recommendations for continuous improvement of learning and development processes and practices.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and review of learning and development resources and materials.
  • Monitor, track, analyse and audit learning and development activities, procedures, submissions, and resources.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the delivery of training and development programs.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, guides, presentations, meeting papers, and other written materials.
  • Coordinate and distribute agendas, minutes, correspondence and other project documentation.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful program delivery.
  • Support ongoing improvements to business processes, procedures, and systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a learning and development, training coordination, administration or a project support role.
  • Intermediate proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • High levels of organisation, attention to detail and time management.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously when required.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat will be highly regarded.
