Are you a dedicated care professional ready to take the next step in leadership? We’re looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our specialist care team supporting a young male with a learning disability, behaviour support needs and health/medical needs. This is more than a job, it’s a chance to make a lasting impact on someone’s life while guiding a team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
As the Team Leader you will work under the guidance of the Clinical Lead to lead and inspire a team of support workers across all shift patterns, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centered care as per the care plan. You will support with training, supervisions, documentation audits, and incident management. We’re looking for someone to foster a positive team culture, acting as a role model, promoting professionalism, empathy and consistency. You will also liaise regularly with the young man’s family to support holistic person-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience in community-based care and team leadership
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with autism
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults
  • Strong communication, organisation, and conflict resolution skills
  • A flexible, reliable, and compassionate approach
  • Confidence in managing incidents and supporting staff development
