JOB DESCRIPTION

Learning Disability and Autism Trainer/Service Manager
Unique Training Solutions Ltd (UTS) are a leading, national provider of training courses and qualifications programmes to the health, housing, and social care sectors, and have built a reputation for outstanding quality over the last 22 years.
UTS have been at the forefront of the rollout of the Oliver McGowan training programmes across the UK and are looking to expand their training team further for both the Tier 1 Webinars and the Tier 2 Face to Face training.
We are looking for those who have several years’ experience of working with individuals with a learning disability and/or those who are autistic. It is essential for this role that you have a high level of knowledge and competency in these areas so you can use this rich experience to train and develop others, pulling on real life experiences and scenarios. These skills will also be important in building good working relationships with our team of experts with a lived experience who will co-facilitate on the Oliver McGowan programmes with you.
Holding the Oliver McGowan trainer approval is not essential for these roles as UTS are approved to deliver the train the trainer programmes and if you are successful, we will provide the training you need.
Whilst some prior training experience is advantageous, the most important thing is that you can evidence your work with individuals with a learning disability or who are autistic and can demonstrate your passion for improving lives for these individuals.
You may be in a role such as a service manager, or a learning disability nurse, and now want to use your high levels of expertise to train others.
We are interested to hear from those both seeking an associate/freelance trainer role, as well as those looking for a full time or part time permanent position. We have customers in all parts of the UK, not just the area mentioned within this job advertisement.
You will be working within a range of customers such as NHS Trusts, Private Hospitals, Local Authorities as well as large and small Care Providers.
Working as a Trainer at UTS you will be required to:
· Deliver high quality training in learning disability and autism to our range of customers
· Ensure all delivery is in accordance with current legislation, best practice and within UTS policy
. Be able to contextualise your deliver to a range of roles and service settings
· Provide guidance and support to all learners.
· Communicate content with enthusiasm, passion, articulation, and confidence.
. Be able to build good working relationships with colleagues to include our expert with lived experience co-trainers.
· Become a part of the UTS training community
