The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator manages and maintains the company’s LMS and related e-learning technologies. This role ensures the system is optimized for internal employees, customers, and partners to access and complete training efficiently. The LMS Administrator is responsible for user management, course setup, reporting, troubleshooting, and supporting learning content delivery across the organization. In addition, this role provides general administrative support for operational and reporting needs across various departments, ensuring consistency and accuracy in system data, project setup, and compliance tracking. This role requires you to work during US business hours, Monday through Friday. What would you do, if hired? System Administration Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the company’s LMS (Skilljar). Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate system access and data integrity. Configure, upload, and organize courses, learning paths, and certifications. Maintain integrations with related systems such as Salesforce, HRIS, SSO, Zoom, and communication tools. Enter and maintain data in company systems to support project creation, updates, and resource tracking. Perform regular audits to ensure data consistency across multiple systems (e.g., LMS, Salesforce, HRIS). Support & Troubleshooting Provide technical support to learners, instructors, and internal teams regarding LMS access, navigation, and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to course playback, enrollment, and data syncing. Monitor and follow up on data or reporting discrepancies, escalating issues to the appropriate team when necessary. Coordinate with vendors or IT as needed to resolve complex issues or system outages. Reporting & Analytics Generate and distribute reports on learner activity, course completions, certifications, and engagement trends. Analyze LMS data to identify learning patterns and areas for improvement. Maintain dashboards or tracking tools to support program performance measurement. Review and validate weekly or monthly compliance reports (e.g., time entry, completion rates, or attendance) to ensure accuracy before submission or distribution. Content & Collaboration Work closely with instructional designers, trainers, and subject matter experts to upload, test, and launch new learning content. Ensure content meets e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI). Assist with testing and quality assurance of courses before publication. Coordinate routine administrative tasks, including user access updates, data corrections, and report sharing, between departments. Continuous Improvement Recommend system enhancements or process improvements to increase usability and learner engagement. Stay up-to-date on LMS feature updates and industry best practices. Identify opportunities to streamline administrative workflows, documentation, and reporting processes across business units Who are we looking for? Skills & Abilities Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Proficient in data analysis and reporting. Solid communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience administering an LMS in a software or technology environment. Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI, content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), and data management. Experience with Salesforce, SSO, or HRIS integrations is a plus.
