  • Please note, this is for a 6-month temporary role. We are open to employee or contractors

Life never stops teaching, so you never stop learning—and you love helping others do the same. You’re passionate about interpreting different visions and translating them into positive professional development opportunities for individuals and teams. For you, it’s about more than determining a learning need; it’s the thrill of creating online events, programs, and lessons to support it. As a Learning Resource Consultant, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-impact training and learning solutions—both self-directed and instructor-led—that align with AMA’s strategies. You’ll consult with your learning team and partners from across the Association to ensure we’re supporting business growth and employee development in an engaging way. We love that about you.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Report to the Manager Association Learning Programs.
  • Consult with partners across the Association to effectively translate identified strategies and plans into learning opportunities.
  • Design, develop and deliver e-learning and instructor-led learning using current adult learning principles, while ensuring corporate strategic priorities are supported.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) in identifying, analyzing, and modifying/developing learning programs.
  • Remain up to date on industry trends, developments, best practices, and emerging concepts in the field of adult learning.
  • Provide support for the implementation of the long-term strategy for learning at AMA.
  • Support all employees in professional development and engagement.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and solutions to scorecard results.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • You have a post-secondary diploma in adult education, business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You’re no newbie, you have at least 5 years’ experience developing and delivering online learning in a corporate learning environment.
  • You have a professional association membership and/or related advanced certification.
  • You’re an all-round superstar with strong problem-solving, planning and writing skills,
  • You’ve worked with course design authoring tools and you’re creative and have an eye for detail. (Storyline is considered an asset).
