The Learning Specialist is responsible for assessing needs and designing and developing outcome-focused organizational learning solutions. The Learning Specialist works with the Manager, Learning and Performance and collaborates with a team of learning professionals to assess learning gaps and design instructionally sound learning experiences that deliver business results, with a heavy focus on sales skills, technology competencies, and product knowledge. As a Learning Specialist, you will: Assist the Manager, Learning and Performance with completing performance needs assessments to identify gaps between current performance and desired results to identify opportunities to develop learning solutions Complete learning needs analysis to assess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for effective performance, documenting desired learning outcomes Design learning solutions by identifying context requirements, researching subject matter, conducting task analysis, and planning the design of learning experiences including appropriate format selection and assessment planning Develop learning solutions, creating appropriate content for courses that may include video, photos, audio, tests, quizzes, and interactive activities Engage collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts and senior Instructional Designers Work with the Manager, Learning and Performance to develop and implement a delivery and communications plan Qualifications: Degree or certification in Adult Education, Learning and Development, or equivalent experience with the ADDIE model (or similar) 1-2 years of experience in the design of elearning and/or instructor-led learning Proficiency in instructional design software including Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Canva Comfort leveraging generative AI within instructional design Strong organizational skills and ability to work on projects independently Familiarity with Learning Management Systems; Docebo knowledge is an asset Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and practice Ability to build strong relationships within a diverse organization Experience working in the travel industry or for a luxury service provider is asset We are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
