Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for full-time and part-time Learning Support Assistants to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team at our Broomfield Campus. If you’re motivated, ready to learn new skills and be a role model we’d love to hear from you!
THE OPPORTUNITY
You’ll be providing a range of support services both in and outside of the classroom to students who have a specific inclusion and support need which will enable them to achieve and progress. We offer a large range of support to students across our college on all college sites.
Our students are at the heart of our person-centred approach, and we support all our 120+ learning support staff to develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge.
As an LSA at our Broomfield campus, no day is ever the same. You could be supporting a group of students in their GCSE English and Maths classes one session and then off up to the farm to support students learning how to drive the tractor or cleaning out the livestock. Our students require support across all levels of study programme, from Entry Level to Level 3 programmes. Our students have a broad range of support needs with key areas for support being Dyslexia, Mental Health and Autism. We work with our students to develop their resilience and independence towards adult life.
