Horizon Teachers are working with a SEND School in the Croydon area that are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to help cover with staff absences on a long-term, full time basis starting as soon as possible, until the end of the academic year until July 2025, with potential to continue within the school for the whole next academic year.
The school caters for students aged 11 - 17 that have Mild Learning Difficulties, such as Autism and being non-verbal. As some of the students in this school have challenging behaviours it would be desirable if you have previous experience supporting students with SEN needs, but this isn’t essential.
Being a Learning Support Assistant within this school you will need to be patient, energetic and resilient in nature and be able to be flexible with a positive attitude to create a relationship with the students.
This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £575 per week.
