We are seeking multiple Specialist Learning Support Assistants to join our Education team here at Portland Charity. We are looking for enthusiastic and positive individuals who can contribute positively within our thriving team at our Forest Road West Campus in Nottingham.
Working as a Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Positive Behaviour Support), you will have a direct impact on the learner experience, and you will collaborate effectively with delivery staff to advance the learner through their curriculum framework.
The successful candidate will be passionate about working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and will have strong communication skills. Experience in working with individuals with behaviour support needs would be desirable.
This role involves regulated activity therefore we will be required to carry out an enhanced with child and adult barred lists DBS check.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
You will hold NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) level 2 or equivalent, or willing to work towards within an agreed timescale.
You should hold a Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills and ICT Skills qualification or be willing to work towards this in an agreed timescale.
