Key Responsibilities

As a Supply SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA/TA) you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND (including autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities).
  • Assist teachers in creating inclusive, differentiated lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and follow behaviour support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support with personal care, mobility, or sensory needs when required.
  • Adapt quickly to different schools, year groups, and SEND settings.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous work as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or SEND Support Worker.
  • Qualifications: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, NVQ in Supporting SEN, or equivalent (desirable, not essential).
  • Skills: Patience, empathy, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
  • Requirements: Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK. Training in Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS is advantageous.
