Position: Learning Support Assistant - Sports Background
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Contract Type: Day-to-Day Supply, Short-Term, and Long-Term Opportunities Available
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support students in school settings. This versatile role involves providing 1:1 and small group support, ensuring that each student receives the attention and encouragement they need to thrive. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse age range, from primary to secondary school students, adapting your approach to meet their varying needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passion for sports and working with young people.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of different ages and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across various age ranges and settings.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a commitment to making a difference.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in sports, education, or child development is an advantage.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support in lessons across all subjects.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them to engage and progress in their learning.
  • Support classroom activities, working closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience.
  • Encourage and motivate students, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Help plan and organise sports events, activities, and projects.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure the well-being and safety of all students during activities.
