Are you passionate about making a difference in young lives? We have a fantastic vacancy for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in the Bovington area, working with young people who have behavioural difficulties.
We are hiring for 3 learning mentors on behalf of our client:
One support staff position to support year 10/11 students in vocational classes (catering, sport, etc)
Two support staff to be deployed as needed across the school to support children in secondary age classes
This is initially an ad hoc position with scope to work on a permanent basis if you are a good match for the setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to develop individualized learning plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people with behavioral difficulties is desirable but not essential.
  • Passion for supporting and nurturing the academic and personal development of students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience and patience to handle challenging situations.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-15:30, Friday 08:30-11am.
Mileage: Commuting expenses reimbursed at £0.45per mile.
