INTRODUCTION:

We are seeking a Learning Support Teacher 0.6FTE to join our team at St Philip’s Christian College Dynamic Learning Cessnock commencing Term 2.
St Philip’s Christian College Dynamic Learning offers a tailored learning program for children and young individuals diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and/or Autism (Level 1 & 2). Our mission is to empower these students for lifelong success through evidence-informed methodologies that celebrate their unique strengths.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working with students with additional needs;
  • Experience in special education across both primary and secondary desirable;
  • Qualifications in special and inclusive education required;
  • Completed appropriate tertiary qualifications and NESA Proficient Teacher accreditation or

working towards;

  • Demonstrated ability to use a range of teaching strategies that meet student needs

individually and collectively;

  • Ability to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with parents in the education and care of their children;
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development;
