Job Title: Learning Technologies Manager
Reporting to: Executive Director of GP Training
Base: 15 Hogan Place / Hybrid working
Contract type: Permanent/ Full time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week (Mon to Fri) with occasional weekend and evening work
Closing Date: COB Wednesday 26th March 2025

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Applicants must hold a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate qualification; ideally in education/e-learning/digital learning with at least 7 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Excellent pedagogical and technological knowledge and skills, with the capacity to grow and develop further.
  • Successful track record of encouraging educators to incorporate learning technologies into their teaching/learning/assessment practice.
  • Successful track record of designing and facilitating professional development for educators, including providing workshops and creating support resources.
  • Successful track record of working closely with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience of using Moodle in a manager or site administrator role
  • Experience of incorporating generative artificial intelligence into teaching/learning/assessment
Responsibilities

The Learning Technologies Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing technology-driven learning solutions within the College. This role involves overseeing Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and digital training tools to enhance the national GP training programme, education opportunities to College members, and to deliver College staff learning and development programmes. While the Learning Technologies Manager will report to the Executive Director of GP Training, the successful candidate will also collaborate with the Head of IT on certain tasks to ensure alignment and consistency in learning technology programmes and initiatives across the College.
