JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Cognitive Trainer is to lead brain training sessions with individuals using the LearningRx research-based program.   The Cognitive Trainer will serve as a primary resource to students and families to provide information pertaining to development, programs, and potential outcomes.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: 1. Deliver one-on-one fast paced, research-based training to individuals participating in the LearningRx programs. 2. Focus on strengthening core cognitive skills that are outlined in the Trainers Manual. 3. Be familiar with each program offered by LearningRx and understand the various delivery methods. 4. Responsible for planning and recording each session. 5. Communicate with parents on daily progress. 6. Communicate with Site Manager regarding student performance, successes, and concerns. 7. Adhere to safety policies and procedures. 8. All other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.   EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.   (i.e. medical field, Psychology, COTA, PTA) Will consider 2nd/3rd year students. 2. 1-2 YEARS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN AN EDUCATION/COACHING/TRAINING SETTING PREFERRED. 3. STRONG READING AND SPELLING SKILLS. 4. BASIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT OFFICE INCLUDING OUTLOOK, WORD, AND EXCEL. 5. Ability to operate office equipment including computers, printers, faxes, and copiers. 6. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.  Ability to be patient with others and foster cooperative and   courteous working relationships. 7. DEMONSTRATED ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL. 8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   9. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. 10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   11. Ability to respond to varied/changing work demands and make decisions as required. 12. Sensitivity to confidential matters. 13. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance. 14. Successful completion of background check (at hire and every 2 years) and drug screen.
Responsibilities
Lead research-based brain training sessions for individuals to strengthen core cognitive skills. Communicate progress and outcomes to students, families, and the Site Manager.
