We are seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accountant to join our accounting team and manage all aspects of lease accounting in compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining lease portfolios, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting lease-related business decisions across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, with lease accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of lease accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems (Workday) and lease accounting software
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end lease accounting processes including identification, classification, measurement, and recognition of lease transactions
  • Maintain accurate lease databases and schedules, including lease modifications and terminations
  • Calculate and record lease liabilities, right-of-use assets, and related amortization schedules
  • Perform monthly lease accounting journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare lease-related financial statement disclosures and footnotes
  • Support quarterly and annual audit processes, providing lease documentation and analysis
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and facilities teams on lease negotiations and renewals
  • Review and analyze new lease agreements for proper accounting treatment
  • Prepare management reports on lease portfolio metrics and financial impacts
