JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to potential tenants. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of property management and leasing practices, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in property management or real estate administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with landlord-tenant law and conflict management strategies is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with tenants.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and office experience is required.
  • Knowledge of facilities management and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
  • Assist in the completion of lease agreements and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with landlord-tenant law.
  • Maintain knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and Section 8 programs to effectively assist qualified applicants.
  • Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
  • Manage tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to address tenant concerns regarding property maintenance.
  • Implement upselling techniques to promote additional services or amenities.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations throughout the leasing process.
  • Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, including contracts and tenant communications.
