ROLE OVERVIEW Woodmont Real Estate is seeking an enthusiastic sale or leasing professional to join Woodmont as a Leasing Consultant at The Vespaio apartments, a peaceful 162-unit community in the heart of Downtown San Jose, CA. This is a full-time role with an expected weekly shift of 32 hours per week. As a Leasing Consultant, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective residents—guiding tours, highlighting our resort-style amenities, and creating a welcoming experience from the first visit to move-in. You'll play a key role in driving our leasing success, while delivering outstanding customer service that reflects the quality of our community. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and clearly communicate the features and benefits of the community to drive leasing performance and meet occupancy goals. * Maintain in-depth knowledge of all floor plans, pricing, availability, and community amenities to effectively match prospects with suitable units. * Build and nurture relationships with prospects and residents by delivering exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process and ongoing residency. * Respond promptly to leasing inquiries through phone, email, and in-person visits, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and professionalism. * Accurately process leasing applications, conduct background checks, and prepare lease agreements in compliance with company policies and fair housing laws. * Collaborate with marketing and property management teams to support outreach efforts, resident retention programs, and community events that enhance the resident experience. QUALIFICATIONS Professional Experience * 2+ years of proven leasing consultancy and/or sales experience. * Previous Leasing experience in market-rate multifamily properties is highly preferred. * Experience with RealPage, Yardi or other property management systems preferred. * Knowledge of the current rental market and marketing experience are desired. Skills & Competencies * Language Ability: Strong oral and written communication skills. Professional interpersonal skills. * Computer Skills: Must have excellent computer skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to understand and create reports and documents. RealPage experience preferred, other property management software packages helpful. * Mathematical Skills: Competence in basic math, percentages, and financial calculations. COMPENSATION Woodmont Real Estate Services has detailed the expected hourly rate for this role to be $23.00 - $25.00 hourly*. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary leasing bonus (eligibility may vary based on role). *This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including leasing bonuses, housing, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signals we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors to determine final compensation.
