Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Due to growth, we are currently looking for a Leasing Executive to take responsibility for maximising rental income of GPT’s retail property by negotiating all new leases for deals allocated in the assigned portfolio within agreed limits of authority.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for all speciality leases under negotiation for vacancies, renewals, incentive budgets, vacancy budgets, markets rent reviews and abatement budgets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Negotiating all leases for allocated deals within limits of authority, to maximise owner’s rental income, keeping within retail plan and budget parameters and relevant legislation.
  • Budgeting and targeting rents for renewals, MRR’s, vacancies and critical tenants in asset plan (including estimated required capex per deal where applicable)
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with target and key retailers as well as introducing new retailers and retail formats into the portfolio.
  • Ensuring signed lease documentation and bank guarantees are fully executed prior to tenants opening for trade.
  • Maintaining accurate records of correspondence, lease information and file notes on all meetings with retailers and any other relevant information that should be maintained to provide an audit trail in line with policy.
  • Assisting the tenancy delivery team with the seamless close to open process to minimise downtime and ensure new tenancies open in line with forecast dates
