We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and service-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the success of a new build-to-rent community in Albemarle, serving as the first point of contact for prospective residents and guiding them through every step of the leasing journey. From responding to inquiries and coordinating property tours to processing applications and facilitating move-ins, you'll play an important role in delivering an exceptional resident experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, working independently, and making a meaningful impact in a growing community. Work Schedule: This position will work onsite in Albemarle 3 days per week (Friday - Sunday) to support a build-to-rent community. During the initial lease-up phase, weekend availability will be required. Once the community is stabilized, the schedule will transition to a more traditional workweek. Two other days a week the position will work from our Charlotte office. Milage will be paid for travel to the secondary office location. Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour Key Responsibilities Leasing & Customer Experience Serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for prospective and current residents. Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, voicemails, emails, online inquiries, and walk-in traffic. Follow up with prospective residents and manage leasing leads to maximize occupancy opportunities. Coordinate and conduct property tours, showcasing available homes and community amenities. Educate prospects on available homes, rental qualifications, application requirements, lease terms, and move-in procedures. Facilitate lease signings and coordinate move-in activities to ensure a seamless resident experience. Provide outstanding customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents, prospects, and business partners. Leasing Administration Process rental applications, verify applicant information, review screening results, and communicate application status as appropriate. Facilitate housing assistance program requirements, including new lease and renewal processes. Maintain accurate prospect and resident records within property management software. Ensure all prospect and guest card information is entered and updated by the close of each business day. Receive and issue receipts for rental and HOA payments received in the office. Provide regular updates regarding home availability to management. Marketing & Community Outreach Assist with outreach and marketing initiatives designed to increase community visibility and leasing activity. Represent the company at events such as open houses, local business presentations, community networking events, and other promotional activities. Maintain and update property availability listings and advertising on a daily basis. Promote available homes and communicate changes in pricing, availability, or community information. Team Support Support Property Managers with daily operational needs. Maintain a professional appearance, reliable attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies and safety procedures. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
