What You Bring as a Leasing Specialist You bring warmth, attention to detail, and professionalism to every interaction: 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred. Experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) strongly preferred. Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus. High school diploma or GED required; COS or TCS certification desired or willingness to obtain. Drive occupancy – market available units, respond to inquiries, and manage leasing applications and renewals. Ensure compliance – process applications and recertifications accurately under LIHTC, HUD, or other affordable housing programs. Deliver exceptional service – assist residents with rent collection, service requests, and community communications. Support teamwork – collaborate with maintenance and office staff to maintain high standards for property appearance and safety.
