We are looking for a Leasing Specialist to join our Founders 3 Team in Madison. You will be a key member of the team at the Monona Shores Apartments. As a Leasing Specialist, you will provide superb customer service to residents, vendors and prospective residents. You will be responsible for the leasing and marketing of the property as well as supporting current residents. Other key responsibilities include: Greet and qualify prospective residents and ask questions to cover all qualifying criteria, track and follow up on all inquiries. Show the community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to clients’ needs by communicating the features and benefits; close the sale. Explain LIHTC eligibility requirements to prospective tenants and conduct initial income and household screenings Update availability report and process applications for approvals. (i.e., credit check, rental history, etc.) Submit processed applications to the Property Manager for approval. Follow up with applicant regarding status. Ensure apartment is ready for resident to move-in on agreed date. Assist in monitoring renewals. Distribute and follow-up on renewal notices. Maintain waiting lists in compliance with program rules Assist in planning resident functions. Attend functions and participate as host for any functions as directed by the Property Manager. Requirements Strong customer service background required; real estate and/or leasing experience preferred. Strong MicroSoft Office skills are required. Yardi knowledge a plus Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written – as well as excellent client service, sales and relationship development skills.
