LEASING AGENT- PART TIME

Description: The leasing agent (Part-Time) will be responsible for ensuring that all rental units are 100% occupied by qualified residents. This position offers flexible hours and required to work outside of regular working hours. This position may lead into full time position based on the individual performance and opportunity for growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College/University Diploma preferred or currently enrolled
  • Knowledge of property management is an asset
  • One-year related leasing/sales experience with knowledge of the property management industry and ability in “Closing the deal” is an asset
  • Must have valid drivers’ licence and own vehicle to work at various site locations
  • Able to work independently, a self-starter
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient with computer software, specifically Word and Excel
  • Marketing experience an asset
    · Ability to work flexible hours when needed, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities
  • Professionally and courteously handle all telephone and ‘walk-in’ inquiries from prospective residents.
  • Encourage appointments or viewings with all prospective callers with proper follow up and professionalism.
  • Tour the property with prospects while highlighting the quality of the community and lifestyle within the complex/area.
  • Point of contact for leasing inquiries, including outside of regular working hours
  • Assist prospects in qualifying for an apartment by collecting appropriate required information
  • Conduct move-in and move-out appointments with residents and ensure legal documents are completed and signed correctly;
  • Conduct market surveys within the region and recommend rental fees based on findings;
  • Perform administrative duties related to leasing and other signed administrative related work.
  • Ensure apartments are prepared for move-in.
  • Carry out other duties and/or procedures as required.
